Are You Planning A Big Office Meeting?

Is your department having a large all-day meeting soon? Perhaps you are the office manager at your place of business and you have new ideas to present. Or, it might be that you are the owner or the assistant to the owner of your business and, as his or her right-hand person, you have been designated to plan the upcoming meeting. Whatever your position is, from planning a menu that will work for your long meeting schedule to arranging for spring water delivery, here are some ideas that might help you as you plan the meeting.

Start With The Basics - For sure you'll need to arrange for water delivery. Consider ordering lots of individual bottles of water ahead of time and putting a plain label around each bottle. Place a permanent felt tip marker next to a tray of the bottles and ask individuals to write their name on the bottle. By doing this, don't you think that you'll be eliminating a lot of waste because those who attend the meeting will reuse their bottle all day. They can do this easily if you also order a large bottle of water that workers can use to refill their individual bottles. The great thing about arranging for office bottled water is that delicious spring water will be chilled and ready to drink. When you arrange for the bottled water service, think of also ordering coffee that those who attend the meeting can access during the day.

Plan The Menu - Will everybody be planning breakfast at the meeting? If so, consider planning a do-it-yourself breakfast. For example, set out things like large muffins that you have bought at a big-box store. Add fresh fruit and containers of yogurt, and the workers will have a nice meal that was easy for you to provide. Lunchtime can be easy for you, too. Consider having a sandwich shop deliver already-prepared submarine sandwiches, chips, and cookies. Or, if you want something hot, think of pizza delivery. If you do that, think of buying both pepperoni pizza and cheese pizza. If you have a pizza buffet, think of serving commercially prepared brownies that are wrapped individually. And, of course, by ordering the bottled water and by arranging for the coffee service, you won't have to worry about planning additional beverages.

Even after your all-day meeting is over, consider continuing the water and coffee service. You will more than likely find that the workers at your place of business will be totally grateful for that.
